In December 2017, our Australian printing plant turned on the largest solar panel system in the Western suburbs of Melbourne.
We installed 2,375 solar panels, which now supply the facility with 25% renewable energy. This $800,000 USD investment decreases our carbon footprint by an average of 725 tCO2e annually, as well as removing energy load from the Australian electricity grid as they transition away from coal-based resources.
Not to be outdone, our customer service team in Montego Bay, Jamaica was extremely proud to turn on a solar installation of their own in June 2018.
Representing one of the largest solar installations in Jamaica, the 1,728 solar panels reduce the carbon footprint of the facility by over 28%, or an average of 482 tCO2e per year.
