We’ve converted 57% of our printing presses to LED curing, reducing our emissions by 473 tCO2e per year.
For more than 30 years, ultraviolet (UV) technology has been used to quickly cure inks.
Although incredibly effective, UV bulbs contain mercury, are energy intensive and must be changed frequently.
That’s why we’re retrofitting our offset presses to include LED curing, greatly reducing our carbon footprint.

The benefits of LED curing
Reduced emissions by
tCO2e per year
Eliminates mercury-containing bulbs
Eliminates ozone emissions
LED ink is 100% free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
More ways we’re helping
LED Lighting
Since 2017 we’ve invested heavily in LED lighting in our most energy-intensive facilities.
Centralized cooling systems
Using a centralized chilled water system drastically reduces the energy required to cool our digital printing presses.
Going solar
We’ve installed large-scale solar arrays at our facilities in Melbourne, Australia and Montego Bay, Jamaica.
